Alberti Umberto designs, manufactures and assembles right angle heads for all machining centers. Beside the production of standard angle heads, Alberti also produces static and live tools for different lathe manufacturers as well as custom-built solutions for specific needs.

ANGLE HEADS

Core business of the company, angle heads are accessories for horizontal or vertical machining centers. They are used to transmit the rotation from the machine spindle to the cutting tool wherever the machine itself cannot perform the operation. The main advantage of angle heads is that there is no need to further re-position the workpiece as they are suitable for drilling, milling and tapping operations and are now available in the new version with Alberti quick change option: SMART CHANGE

TURBOFLEX/SLIMLINE

These special holders combine Alberti design and technology with Nakanishi products in order to reach up to 60.000RPM. Turboflex are air driven heads featuring a pneumatic air motor inside the main body which transmits the rotation to the spindle and cutting tools. The air can be supplied from the machine spindle or from the stop block.. With much smaller dimensions compared to standard angle heads, Turboflex products are suitable for light machining such as drilling, polishing, engraving, etc where higher speed is required (such as moulds). Slimline heads are mechanically driven from machine spindles and do not include an air driven mortor. Both Turboflex and Slimline can be authomatically exchanged on the machine by the tool changer arm.

MOTORIZED

The motorized machine tool accessories are limited to turning industry and are applied on CNC lathes. Despite the name, they are not equipped with proper motion but they take the motion from the turret of the machine and then transferred to the tool which drills, milling cutters, etc. Alberti builds fixed and rotary tool holders for different manufacturers of lathes, including Nakamura, Okuma, Mori Seiki, Mazak, with BMT or VDI turrets, also available in a version with quick coupling Smart Change.
